Building the strongest possible foundation for your business is all about being prepared for growth and expansion - which means keeping all of your available subscription options organised. With Billsby's unique plan hierarchy, you can stay in control.
Getting the most out of products, plans and cycles
Some tips on functionality that may help you when setting up your account:
Restrict countries for sales and shipping
If you sell a physical product and only ship to some countries, you can set your permitted countries at product level, so that only customers with shipping addresses in those countries are able to sign up to that product.
You can restrict both billing and shipping addresses, so even if you're not shipping a product to a customer you can still restrict to the countries that you sell in.
Collect the information you need from your customers in the checkout
When creating your products you can let us know what information to collect from your customers, to make sure you capture the vital information from them, like phone number and marketing consent. You can even create custom fields that are specific to your company.
For example, if I were to offer a free gift of a scented candle with every subscription and I wanted to offer a choice of scent, I could create a dropdown for the customer to choose from before they finish checking out their subscription:
With the option to create fields using single line, multi line, dropdown, checkbox, number and date, this tool is flexible enough to help capture any information you need from your customers at the point of sign up.
Promote retention by offering discounts for annual plans, using cycles
Monthly payments may be the backbone of your business, but annual subscriptions can secure you more business upfront, increase cash flow, and reduce churn. Even a small percentage of larger contracts can have a huge impact on your bottom line.
Using cycles, you can set up annual billing options easily in your Billsby account. All you need to do is create two cycles for each plan: one monthly and one annual, with the price of the annual plan reflecting the discount.
