We're here to help you move your existing customers from Stripe and set you up to bill these customers in Billsby. There are four key steps to this process.

Step One: Use Billsby for All New Customers

We can only do the migration once, so the first thing we'd need to do is have you 'Go Live' with your Billsby account and start using Billsby to process payments for all of your new customers. This way, we know that there's no customers that are going to be left over in Stripe at the end of the migration process.

If you are haven't already, you can sign up for a Billsby account here. For help setting up your account, check out our help centre or schedule an onboarding call below.

Step Two: Collate Customer Data

We will then need to collate all of the customer data from Stripe. To do this, we'll send you a spreadsheet which you'll populate with all of the customer details, and also confirm which product, plan and cycle they should be migrated onto when we switch them over, and which day of the month they should be billed. If you'd ordinarily charge a setup fee, you'll want to create special hidden migration versions of your cycles without a setup fee, so that customers aren't billed for this separately. We can help you set these up.

We'll also ask you to send an email to the appropriate system to have them move the payment cards into our PCI DSS compliant vault, as at Billsby, we handle the payment card vaulting for you.

Step Three: Raise Migration Request with Stripe

To raise a request with the Stripe migration team, we will ask you to send a pre-written email to Stripe support asking them to export your customers safely and securely.

Step Four: Import Customers and Agree Start Date

We'll import all of your customers and agree a migration start date. The day before the migration start date, you'll cancel all of your customers subscriptions in Stripe. We'll then start the subscriptions in Billsby day-and-date with when they were previously charged in Stripe, so your customers won't experience a difference.

At Billsby, our migrations team will be on hand throughout the entire process to help you understand the process and answer any questions you may have.
